Hi,
I have 3 PC's behind a Belkin ADSL modem/router. I configured a PPTP VPN server on a Windows XP Pro (one of the 3 PCs) with a fixed internal IP address. When establishing a VPN connection from ouside the router, I can see the shares on the PC where the VPN server resides, but cannot access the rest of the network (gets its IP address through DHCP). I've typed even the internal IP address of the internal PCs, but no luck. Cannot ping either.
My VPN server/client IP addresses are on the 10.x.x.x subnet, while my internal network is on 172.x.x.x subnet.

I would guess that your XP system is not setup to act as a router.
The packets coming in from your VPN tunnel would need to be routed back out to the rest of the network and vice versa.
I'm not really a windoze guy so I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing that.
Hopefully I've given you a little start though.
