I have a user that upon boot up always comes to the DOS prompt "Choose the Operating System to boot" and had the option or Recovery Console, Windows XP Profession or Windows Default.

I removed the Recover Console via this URL:

And now when we boot we get the same DOS prompt and options minus the Recover Console.

She just wants her PC to boot to Windows XP without have to choose an option.

How do I fix this?

go to my computer right click select properties. then go to the advanced tab, find startup and recovery settings. inside there you will see the time to show list of OS and recovery options. if you want it to boot to XP just uncheck the "time to display list of OS's" box and set the default os to winxp.

Right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced
Startup and Recovery

Edit the default settings at the top screen.
