Can AutoAttendant transfer, then overflow to the operator?

Hello all, Merlin Magix newbie here. I "inherited" a Merlin Magix system that I've been decently successful in re-programming. I've set up several Vertical systems, so I'm not horribly inexperienced with key systems -- just Avaya ones. Anyways, I have a question I can't seem to figure out.

I've set up an Auto Attendant with several options: your typical "press 1 for sales, 2 for support, yadda yadda." I set up our sales group (extensions 2126, 2127, 2128, and 2129) into calling group 773. I set the overflow for calling group 773 to go to the operator (calling group 771, ext. 2100).

I tested the overflow by dialing 773 on one of the phones -- it rings to all the phones in calling group 773, just like it should. After 25 seconds, it overflows to the operator, just as it should. Here's the kicker though: if a call comes in from the auto-attendant to calling group 773, it doesn't overflow after 25 seconds. It just rings indefinitely.

Am I missing something? Or do calls that get sent through AA break any overflow rules? I tried searching the forum for this particular problem in vain. I'll keep looking and playing around with it, but any help would be appreciated.

Some additional details!

I'm using WinSPM v9.0 to program this system.
Mode is Hybrid/PBX.
Merlin Messaging is v3.0.
I don't know how to find out a firmware version on the Merlin Magix itself...

If it's a PRI and you have it set to group ring, the only time it will overflow is if everyone is logged out or they are all on calls already.

You might find this list of test codes useful:

To get the firmware version, go to any display set and press an SA button then *05 on the pad, then you will see it on the display. By the way some of these can be used via the Remote Access feature.
