Can anyone tell me how to import a bmp file of an Autocad Drawing in Corel Draw and maybe make it transparent so that my drawing can superimpose over another drawing with out blocking out the back ground drawing...
I need to be able to remove the white back ground of the bmp file so all thats showing is the outline of the drawing ..The original drawign is an Autocad dwg or dxf file that im converting and importing through Corel draw and converting to a bmp...My final file must be a bmp as I have to import it in a windows setting..

Thanks

Hi,
You can export the AutoCAD a few different ways BMP, WMF, etc with (with EXPORT DATA in ACAD). There are a few good raster imager addins for ACAD (like "Better WMF"). But, if you are going the plain ACAD way of converting you can export the file in your format of choice and then bring in the raster to Corel. You will need to make a mask based on the color (white) and then make the white transparent. You can save this image and bring it in to ACAD. Keep in mind the quality of the raster will be somewhat low unless you were to acquire some helper programs like Spicer's tiff converter or something like that FYI.
