can anyone recommend printer with lc 630 printer drivers please ?

a friend of mine with lc 630 has asked me to recommend a printer for home use

however, all i get are blank looks or silent phones when i ask suppliers if any of their printers have lc 630 compatible drivers for any of their small printers

i admit to no having very little experience with macs

am i asking the right question ?

can anyone recommend a printer with correct drivers please ?

It depends on what he is looking to do with the printer and the model on Apple Mac he has.

If you want print a lot of graphics then I would say buy and Epson, if it is just to print documents then a HP. However if you want a postscript print then HP again.

Check this company out for Printers. Could you give more information on the Mac it's going onto? If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

LC 630 is the model number (old - about 1994/5) but according to

consumer version was performa 630 and business version was Quadra 630 - i really dont have much info

printing requirements are simple docs etc - i can choose hardware but sticking point is pprinter drivers for this particuilar mac ... Best of Irish Luck, David.

You can get any printer that specifies it runs on a 68040 Mac (if it specifies powermac you are stuffed). They usually say mac/powermac.

Try Apple Laserwriter compatibles.
