Can any Partner voicemail do this?

Queue calls from the auto-attendant? I'm helping somebody set up an older Partner ACS system and they would like to have a set-up where customers call in and any free employees will pick up the call right away but if there aren't enough people to answer all the incoming calls at once then the auto-attendant picks up, plays a greeting and puts the overflow calls in a hold queue until they have time to answer them. Is there a way to configure any version of a Partner voicemail system handle that?

No, but an ASA/DXD card in your ACS will do that. Assign the lines to ASA, set a number of rings before answer, and record a 10 second message like "Thank you for calling XYZ Company. Please hold on and we'll be right with you." Set the ASA mode to RING, so the calls will continue to ring at the phones until abandoned or answered. Put an ASA button on Ext. 10 to turn it on. You can still use the Auto Attendant in the night mode.

Thanks TouchToneTommy. That might work for them. No way to automatically put the calls on hold after the greeting though, instead of having them ring?

After looking a little more it looks like the ASA card will do this. Thanks again for the tip Tommy.

Yes, it can put the calls on hold, but only ext. 10 get the holding call reminder tone, so I prefer to use the ring option. That way, everyone that receives a ring on the line continues to do so, and someone will handle the call. Not everyone is in the vicinity of Ext. 10 and knows that the calls are holding and have not been attended to.
