3 weeks ago option 11 suddenly will not allow long dist. no programming has been done since that time. I monitored the cot and it allows dialling but on the 7th digit it sends a disconnect tone. But the toll free no 1800 it works ok. and I also changed the rli to a toll free fli but it still the same. I even up load a copy of 2006 and it still behaves the same. I even compare the programming of a working switch at another site and they are the same. I suspect that the attendant must have restricted it accidentally.

If the console has a Routing Control (RTC) key activated then it would affect the NCOS of some or all phones.

I don't see any rct key here is the copy of the attendant

Doesn't sound like your problem is with the console but you you can print the ESN in LD 86 to see if RTCL is on.

no programming has been done in ld 86 Here is the copy

It happens suddenly every phones are unable to make long dist. irrespectively of the ncos and tgar I am stump on this problem for 3 weeks

Your NCOS map is a bit odd. You have time-of-day routing control turned on from midnight to 8:44 and 15:15 to midnight.
But the only change that occurs is NCOS 1 becomes NCOS 2. That's assuming none of your phone have NCOS higher than 6.
Can you post the NCTL from LD 87?
Also an example of an NPA or SPN that can't be called and the associated RLI.

I can't think of anything that would suddenly prevent phones from calling long distance except for Routing Control.
Maybe there is a problem with the trunks. Have you tested by calling from an unrestricted phone using the route access code?

all phones and even console can't do long dist even with ncos 6 with the least restrictions. and I also program a pulse dialing cot.and dial 912345678900. I can heard the trunk pulsing but at position 8 a disconnect tone is sent. this switch is for a school the time control is turn of at 6 am to around 4pm. I even used a private cot it still acts the same. The switch is for a school.
the time is turned off from8am to 4pm. All trunks behave the same even I use the headmaster private cot.without autcode needed.

Whoa! I just wanted one NPA and one RLI.
I guess I should have said RLB - can you print RLB 3?
Also, again, have you tested by calling from an unrestricted phone using the route access code? That would be a phone with CLS UNR and TGAR 0. By dialing the trunk ACOD you bypass NARS and can see if there is some problem with the trunks.

You need to print the RDB for route 9 and then try calling using the ACOD for route 9.
Also need to print DMI 1.

It looks like nothing much here. As I have said the dialing is correct when I monitored the pulse dialing. It completes the whole string of no. lets say 912345678900 but always at position 8 a slow busy tone is sent and I believe it is a disconnect tone and if I dial 18001234567 it goes thru' without a tone and connection is made and I even changed the rli 3 to the 1800 rli. It still would behave the same that is very strange. I even powered down and rebooted and it is still as it is.

I guess you edited the post with all the long distance NPA's? I thought they were using RLI 3 but I can't see them now.
If I'm right then you were using RLI 3 for long distance. RLI 3 uses DMI 1 which is inserting a 9.

That tells us that your outgoing calls are routed through another exchange, probably Centrex, that has it's own routing conditions that have probably changed.
Maybe you don't have to insert a 9 anymore. Or maybe they Centrex is expecting something else like an authcode. If you can't figure it out you will have to contact the Centrex provider to see what has changed.
Good luck!

I have not encountered this issue before. A 9 has to be inserted to pass thru' the central office. anyway thanks for the helps and I am able to form a mental picture of how the system works.
