Can an analog line on an MC8 or MC4MG2 outpulse DTMF tones?

I am working with a Faxback fax server and I would like to auto-route faxes based on dialed number.

I have an NEC SV8500 with analogs from an MC8 and MC4MG2 feeding into the Faxback system. The Faxback is configured to hear DTMF tones, but it is not doing it.

I need to confirm that my NEC analogs can actually do this. Has anyone worked with this before?

According to the Peripheral equipment guide, DTMF is supported by these devices.
