Is AIX capable to write I/O to disk that has greater than 1 Terabyte? Assuming there is an external disk attached to the server with this capacity? Thanks.

Of course no problem the Architectural maximum file system size of AIX 5L is 1 Terabytes(from IBM Certification Study Guide - pSeries AIX System Support, page 142),and a filesystem must build on a logical volume.

The max PP size of AIX 4.3.3 is 1024MB and the max PPs per PV is 1016(1 to 16),I think is no problem to make a LV bigger than 1TB.
