I create a lot of menus that are printed out by the restaurants themselves on there computer and Epson C80 printers (the ink is waterproof).
The menus are created in Adobe PageMaker 7 and then exported to PDF format.

Many of my clients would like to be able to change the prices in the menu themselves so that they don't have to keep coming back to me every time they change one price or item description. This is fine with me since I am very busy and, I don't want to tell them to buy PageMaker and get in to all the complications that giving them the native files and fonts would entail.

Is there any way to make PDF files that can have the text edited?
The graphics and every thing else can be left in place I just need a way to substitute copy.

Small things like prices could be edited easily if your clients have the full version of Acrobat. I would not attempt major revisions to text and graphics.

In case the fonts are not embedded in the PDF, then the text can easily be edited by activating the TouchUp Text Tool.

Select the text and make the minro changes.

Hope this helps,
