can a user tell if another user is on a call?

A customer on IP500 V2 9.1 with 9508 phones is wondering if there is a way that they can be notified if they are making an internal call and the user on the other end is on another call. I just replaced their old nortel MICS with this IP office, so they are used to seeing "on another call" from the nortel in this situation previously.
 
feildtech: Soon, like it could be on the next software release?

joe: I would do that but they want it for any user on the system, not one specific user.
 
It's on R10, but they've been going all over with licencing changes etc so it's delayed at the mo and god knows what we'll end up with :)

 
Reduce the users to 2 appearance keys
set Busy Last CA

you wound see 'ON Another call" but at least you will get Busy tone or route straight to VM.

this is usually the 1st change we make on any of our installations - if not it is the 1st thing the customer reports as a fault ...


Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
