Hello I have a MICS with fiber management, I was wondering if a station module can be located far from the switch throgh a media converter or some type of nortel offsite product.
I ask this because I have a limited amount of pairs to bring extensions to this building but I have an empty fiber run available.

Ricefd,
MCK makes a fibre module extender. This may not be what you are looking for as it changes the multi mode to single mode. I've never installed one but if it's like their other products (which you should have a look at) it will be effective. In particular you will be looking at a device to convert multi mode fibre to high speed copper IP. Post back with what you find eh?

its a called a
"modext" from mck and they work fine

The MCK module extender does not change multimode to single mode - it requires multimode fiber between the two boxes.

If you need to run it on singlemode you require a separate multimode --> singlemode converter on each end. The total distance must be less than 3KM.

I've used this product with great results on straight multimode cable. I have not tried them with the singlemode converters yet.
