Hi ,

I have a batch file that runs three automation scripts which generate excel files(xx.xls,yy.xls,zz.xls) . Then I go to Excel and start this macro(Personal.xls!organise) which collects infromation from the above generated excel sheets and updates the existing Template.xls file .

I need to automate the entire process without me going to go to Excel and start the macro manually .

I wanted to know if I could start the execution of a macro from a batch file .

Have you thought about putting your "organise" macro as the autoexec macro in it's own wookbook? Then you could have your batch file start Excel with that workbook and it would start automatically.

It is not too difficult to have the macro in the "organise" workbook create a totally seperate workbook with the summary information in it.

Hope this helps
Pete
