Excatly whats in the subject line, can an RMB modem on a S3500 be replaced? Or does the entire server have to be replaced?

Thanks.

What is it doing? does the MSS not see it? I have had this happen and it could be that the software is not loaded from the DVD for the RMB you should see the Z1418rf+* in the loaded sofware if not it can be loaded to make it work.

The modem answers but it does not give you the opportunity to log in via PPP. So basically it doesnt give you a login prompt.

It should be but i have seen systems where it was not. The part number should be on the packing slip of the system. I still think it is a software problem but you never know.
