Configuration: DL580 with dual P400 controllers running Windows Server 2008 Standard.
Embedded controller: 8 72GB disks configured as one logical RAID 5 drive (drive D:)
Slot controller: 4 72GB disks configured as 2 logical RAID 1+0 (drives C: and E:)

I would really like to take the drive E: disks and assign them to the RAID-5 array. Is that possible, and how would it be done?

Thanks!

If you are after more diskspace, your best option would be to replace the 8 x 72Gb disks for larger disks.

OK, that's what I thought. Thanks for the info.

72s were state of the art in what, 2003? I'd go for the sweet spot, 300s or maybe even 450s.

XMSRE

If they are supported by the controller and firmware of course :)
