Can a M3904 set read or access the system directory? i mean the one in LD95

Hello
We are trying out an M3904 set on our Meridien 1000.
Reading this awesome forum, it seems i would have to build a phone to add it to the system correctly. We have just plugged it in, and it works, but we want MORE!!!
We would like to see if the system directory (LD95) can be accessed from the phone for people looking up numbers. (Search for the number on the phone's display rather than a printout)
Is that possible? I want to know before i take on the task of building the phone.

You need to Implement Corporate Directory for it to work

This is done by Telephony Manager if you have it or most recently with the new software it is done through System Manager. If you don't have either then you cant implement the feature

If youre System running rel 25 you must upload via rx protokoll over Rs232 serial
Use x-modem crc checking
hold CTRL and enter pdt
username and password
change to u\db
enter ll
rename exist CorpDir
enter rx corpdir000.csv ( recommend name of file
enter command of your Terminalporgramm for download corp directory
After download enter INIT_CORP_DIR (exactly as i wrote )

I am trying to receive the corp dir file via pdt while connected to the PBX via putty over rLogin.
When I use the rx command, it says it is ready to receive then times out.

I would be really careful in PDT if you don't know what you are doing

Firebird et al,
PDT will not load for me. it seems to be a different password then the admin/logi.
Did a search here for PDT and it seems like it would be similar to using C4 to open a sticky closet door!
Isnt there a Load for uploading a directory? like how you upload a patch?
I just am not comfortable using that kind of "backdoor" programming.

Soooo, other than Telephony Manager, System Manager, PDT, or entering it by hand on each set there is no other way to do this?

If your machine runs on release 25.11, you just have the way over pdt.
This is official and nothing illegal. However, you need the pdt password
for this.

I am sorry. my metaphor was incorrect. yeah c4 is illegal, but i meant that it was overkill.
(a better analogy would have been using a bulldozer)
