I am about to move my computer to a new location in the house, is it possible with suitable hardware to operate the modem like a cordless phone?

This is a desktop system with one user and no network connections. I really don't want to run new phone cable at this time as I am not sure where the the permanent position will be for the computer.

Thanks

There are powerline adapters that can be used for modem connections.

You plug one into any outlet, and the other near an outlet by a phone jack.

Be carefull that you pick one that is modem suitable, as some are just for telephone use.
