Is there any way for a DID number to be directly answered by a mailbox without ringing on a forwarded phone? I've only been able to have calls go to a mailbox by having them ring on an unused, call-forwarded phone.

I know someone who insists there must be a way to do this directly with no phone involved and is asking me to tell him how. I can't think of a way however.

The specific application is for a DID number incoming over PRI used for recording one's information for removal from a mailing list so no real person or real phone is desired - just a mailbox.

MICS 6.1, CallPilot 100.

Thanks for any help received.

there is a message line parameter in the mailbox, mention the target line in there and that should take care of it

Sweet! Must be something new with CallPilots cause I don't think I have that on my NAM. Thanks a lot. I hate that he's right, but thanks!

Set the Message Line in the mailbox = to the target line # and set the prime set for that target line to the VM DN and it works great!

Check it the FAQ's section. I found it there and used it about two weeks ago. It worked perfect.
