Can 8.5 and 9.0 live on the same machine...

Hi,

I am working on a project which will be using Crystal Reports Developer Edition-Version 9.0. Can I install 9.0 on the same PC as V8.5 or will this simply upgrade my V8.5? If it upgrades, will my previous reports work okay or will I have to amend them in some way?

I am using them on the web and they are called via ASP's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can make a timely decision.

They live together just fine. If you look at the docs for CR9 this is one of the features. I have them both installed on my winXP pro development machine. I still have to build 8.5 reports for crystal enterprise and use CR9 for my asp,net application.

You can use both, but if you save a v8.5 report in v9 you can ONLY use it with v9. Currently v9 reports are not compatible with any full version of Crystal Enterprise. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
