hi experts,

I already posted in the Integration Services forum but no one replied.

We have a Pervasive "database" - I think it is ver 8 or 9.

Would an IS package be able to retrieve data from Pervasive.SQL? I suppose if SQL Server has an OLEDB Provider for Pervasive, it might be possible.

Does anyone know for certain?

Thanks much!
John

.. uh let's make that 2005 - I won't be around in 2205 :)

should be possible, the driver would have to come from Pervasive not sql server. you would have to install the driver on the sql box and then you should be fine (works the same way with MySQL)
In the worst case you can also look at ODBC

Yes, we do it. We use an ODBC Data Source, then OLE DB for ODBC. We use a linked server, but you wouldn't have to.
