Can 1 form update another form?

I'm just curious if i can populate fields from one form to another. For example i have an incoming inspection form, if for some reason some material was bad and they clicked the reject button could i have the part#, lot # etc. automatically enterend into the other form's fields. I really not looking for a yes answer maybe something like do a search on a populate function gb-92f.
