Can’t turn off Antivirus checking of out going mail

I have turned the Check Outgoing Mail off, but when I send a large email or broadcast emails it keeps checking them. A 2” square yellow window appears in the lower right of my screen. It has a progress bar and says that it is checking out going mail. It takes forever to check an email.

When I broadcast several hundred email there were little yellow squares on top of little squares.

How do I really keep Norton form checking my outgoing mail?

what mail program are you using?

sometimes mail programs themselves have virus scanning options... I would check the options inside your email program to see if IT has a setting for scanning outgoing mail.
