Hi !!

I have some troubles with the NT Server Installation.
The PC was Linux MANDRAKE installed, but i was formating all the partitions, also delete all partitions and re-create all of them.
But Unix is still booting my system, where is this allocated?
Cause every time that i reboot the computer, start with Linux.

somebody can help me?
Thank You !!

Boot off of DOS/Win9x boot floppy with fdisk.exe on it.
Run "fdisk /mbr". That should do it.

If the "fdisk /mbr" doesnt work, one of my old favorites is to boot with a floppy that has debug on it and run the following commands from the command prompt. This completely wipes the mbr and allows you to start from scratch without the headaches of low levelling the drive.

DEBUG
F200 400 0
RAX
301
RBX
200
RCX
1
RDX
80
E100 CD 13

When you are finished it will return you to the a:\ command prompt. Good luck

I have a definite fix for you. I have had this problem umpteen times. Of all these times I have tried just about everything to get the MBR cleaned off. The one fix that I found is yet to fail me. It is a utility called GDISK. I have it here somewhere and can send it to you if you would like. You use it to boot off of and then run the commands.

VERY NICE...

Thank you dirkdiggy !!

Yes, if you can send to me the program, will be Marvelous !
