Another question. Is there a way to print a Pub that is "camera ready". I have an inkjet printer that prints a very high quality document but my local printer service says the "dots" are wrong and he cannot use.
I would like the name of your printer. You can e-mail me at qys@marathonkey.com. I have found a printer on line who specializes in Publisher files. I may try him sometime when I need 4 color printing.
Printers will print direct from your publisher file - not from a print out.
If you can't find a printer who handles publisher files, read your manual on how to create a postscript file.
Most printers will accept correctly prepared postscript files.
NB. Printing a postscript file does not mean printing something out onto paper, rather it creates a new file of your publisher doc. in postscript language and will add the suffix .prn after it.
Your printer will then be able to create a pdf from the postscript file via Acrobat Distiller.
If your gonna be doing a lot of 4 col. printing you need to buy Adobe Acrobat (not the free reader) which will allow you to create your own pdf's and view them afterwards to check that they're OK.
