We sold a BCM 400 to a customer along with the A&A TeleData "CallWare" call accounting product. (The BCM OS version is 3.7.) We've been unable to get CallWare to retrieve call detail/SMDR data from the BCM. Despite the fact that A&A TeleData advertises the CallWare product as being compatible with the Nortel BCM, no matter which of the available SMDR formats for the BCM we choose on the CallWare setup menu, Callware won't even begin to start capturing BCM call detail records. We think the sticking point in the CallWare setup is the CallWare screen where we're asked to supply the port that the BCM is using to send real-time call detail records to the BCM management station. (That same PC is running the CallWare product.) Nortel has been completely uncooperative, claiming that the information about TCP/UDP ports is "Nortel proprietary". We've put a protocol analyzer on the Ethernet segment where the BCM and the management station are connected, and we've tried every port that shows up in the Ethereal capture in the CallWare port config, but no ceeegar. Any help would be appreciated.
