my CDB is programmed as shown below:

INT_DATA
ACCD OVF OVF OVF ATN
CTVN OVF OVF OVF ATN

I thought that calls to vacant DN (CTVN) would get the attendant if it's a DID call. When I call an unassigned DID I'm getting a recording saying the number is not in service. Once I assign the number to something I get through. Shouldn't the unassigned DIDs be going to my attendant based on the CDB configuration? thanks for your help.

this might help

The CTVN (call to vacant number) prompt in the customer data block under the INT (intercept) data settings

INTR (NO) YES Change Intercept Treatment
Intercept treatments determine the action performed
when a user makes an invalid call. Each intercept prompt
requires four entries representing the type call:
• first entry = station/DISA
• second entry = attendant extended
• third entry = TIE trunk
• fourth entry = CCSA/DID trunk
One of the following responses is required for each entry:
• ATN = Intercept to Attendant
• BSY = Busy Tone
• NAP = Not Applicable
• OVF = Overflow Tone
• RAN = Intercept to Recorded Announcement
• SRC1-SRC8 = Announcement Source Channel
basic-1
The defaults are shown for each Intercept prompt. If RAN
is specified, you are prompted for the RAN route number.

yes, the fourth entry is for a DID trunk, and I'm dialing a DID on my PRI circuit and the intercept treatment is set to attendant so why am I getting a recording instead?

Try changing to this CTVN OVF OVF OVF OVF and see if it makes a change. If not there maybe something else effecting it.

Is the recording coming from Telco? The reason I ask is because I had it happen to me when I changed providers. It had something to do with the call setup on the D-channel. If I did not have the DID assigned then my switch would reject the call and I would get a recording from Telco saying that this number is not in service. It's been a couple of years but I'll see if can find any notes because we did resolve the issue.

Yes Hawks, we are getting a telco recording, and yes, we also just changed providers. I would truly appreciate it if you could send me your solution, provided you are able to find your notes. Thank you very much.

No problem I'll look, but for a quick fix you can go assign them to 0. At least that way you'll get the calls.
