We have an Opt 61C/Realease 25 using Meridian Mail. I want to know if there is a way to control how many times a phone rings before it rolls to voice mail. I know you can modify the overflow threshold in a queue to control how many rings before the call is transferred to the OVDN but can you do the same on an individual phone not in a queue? If it can be done, is the parameter controlled in the phone programming itself (i.e. programming the TN) or in the M.Mail parameters for the actual mailbox itself?

Thanks,

You first have to go into LD 15 and set at least one of your call forward no answer ringing options (CFN0, CFN1 or CFN2)for two rings. You can access these by selecting RDR_DATA at the TYPE: prompt and <Enter> past everything until you get to the CFNx that you want. For example....

REQ: CHG
TYPE: RDR_DATA
CUST 0
.
.
CFN2 2

I just arbitrarily choose CFN2 because it matched the number of rings it is set for. Then, you have to modify the TN for the particular phone in LD 10 or 11. The RCO setting will need to be changed to the CFN option that is set in LD 15...

REQ: CHG
TYPE: 2008
TN (TN being changed)
ECHG YES
<Enter>
.
.
RCO 2
<Enter>
.
.

Also should say that I just picked TYPE: 2008 as an example. You'll need to enter the actual type of the phone being modified.

Thanks, I understand. I'll try it this afternoon and I really appreciate your help!!!!!

Thanks Again...........
