Calls ring back on transfer

We have several sites with Mitel phone systems, all using 3300ICP. They are set up to allow internal calling.

Lately, but not all the time, when a call has been transferred to another user (which the majority of the time is on one of the other sites however it has been on the same site too) when the person transferring the call hangs up, it rings back to their phone.

The person the call is transferred to just gets a ready-to-dial tone.

They aren't setup any differently to anyone else and there dosent seem to be a consistent pattern but it would be good to try and resolve it as when it does happen, its quite unprofessional asking them to redial a different number.

Any help much appreciated.

sounds like the call is recalling.
check the call recall timer in the cos, if there is forwarding also check the call forward no answer timer.

if the call forward no answer timer is longer than the recall timer, the call will recall before its forwards.
