Once in the AA at Night, callers are complaining that when they choose the dial by name *2, they enter their contact's name and then hear the name from the extension owner's voice...at that point calls should ring to the associated phone then into the vm box, but instead callers are being reverted back to the AA or announcement of some type (not sure exactly cldn't test it during the day) and this is happening to multiple extensions...I had verified that one of the users is in the d-by-n dir. How else can I troubleshoot this issue?

I would suggest that you first verify that you can transfer to the Extension (from the AA) with out using the Dial By Name directory.

It could be that the users have accidentally set their Voice Mail Box to NOT RECORD (Option 8).

When was the last time it worked and what has happened since then?

turns out the company moved about 9 months ago and had their old extensions still programmed in the voicemail!
