Calls On Hold get dropped into Voice MBX

Here's one that I've never seen before:

MICS R6.1
Startalk Voice Mail Unit (don't know SW level)

POTS Lines


Incoming calls are routed through a simple AA menu. Calls ring at the chosen extension. User answers the call, places caller on hold. Line indicator flashes as it should.

After about 30 seconds, call is dropped into a voicemail box, and not always the same one.

No other extensions ring, and there is no indication to the caller, or on the desk set, that a voicemail transfer has been made.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

Once logged into F983 press 9 to see software on the VM
You need 1.9 or up

I am betting tha'ts the problem.

DTR to Prime (prime might be the voicemail DN). It's a common practice and one of the recommendations in the Appendix of the flash manual on how to setup delayed AA answering. But not a smart idea as this is what happens to calls left on hold too long.
