I have an octel 250 Aria 03.11.05-1 Users are complaining of getting the "Welcome to Octel Voice message processing"
instead of the callers Voicemail box. Some are checking messages from the inside and also getting the Welcome message. I have checked all the analog lines to the FLT cards and all is fine. This has even happened to Me.

Now the question. Where is my problem?

Thanks in advance
ED

well I would think that maybe a port or two is causing your troubles, Try calling each port and see if any are acting different.
If you recently added new ports, that may be a good place to start, check and make sure the answering ports in menu 4 are all programmed with the same line type and both the I and T columns are set to yes. Also check the PBX programming for those, what I would call a "stare and compare"
Be careful around your message waiting ports, you would not want to change those.

I have checked all lines and one minute its giving the Welcome message. When I call the number direct all ok. The I's and T's are all ok. Nothing has been added or removed since it was installed. All pbx translations are the same and correct.

Thanks again

not sure what you meant by "one minute"
if you mean one of the lines is always going to "open trees" or your Welcome greeting, then you might try rolling it with a known good one and see if it follows the Octel port or PBX port,

This sounds like the G3 is dropping digits on the inbound call.

Is the PBX very busy? you may also look at the
Maximum Time Before First Digit Received: 2000 milliseconds

and up it a little but if it is failing it is the PBX not sending all of the digits in a timely manner

Could be a problem with the line card in the PBX...I remember seeing this kind of problem with In-band DTMF integrations when dial tone generators failed on the PBX side. Have you tried changing out the line card in your G3?

By one minute I mean that I get the welcome message and find the analog port and call it direct The line is working. The pbx is far from busy. The line cards are all over the switch. It is not one port all the time.

Thanks for the replies

No this is still ongoing. Although few and far between

What FLT cards are you using and what is the line type in menu 4.1?
