We recently migrated 7 of 8 IP 500 V2s to IPO server
The eighth office was left in stand alone because they wanted to manage their own hardware and have their own interconnect.
Before the migration all offices would of course just dial the 4 digit extension over the scn lines to connect with extensions in this office.
For security reasons the SCN lines had to be removed between this site and all others
Now we have a sip trunk between my IPO server and this V2 system and also sip trunks to the mpls. This v2 system also has a sip trunk to the mpls to make external calls.
The way our interconnect has us setup right now, everyone must dial 8 then the ext to call this office and that office must do the same to call us
They setup
8N;
dial
N
40 (sip trunk to 8th V2)

Can anyone show me how we can setup the systems so that dialing 8 is not needed?
Can some sort of dial plan or ARS not be configured to send all calls starting with 6 out over the 2nd sip trunk??? All extensions in this office are 6xxx and we don't have anything with 6 anywhere else

TIA

Cool, no worries

How come my so called Avaya certified interconnect cant figure this stuff out

Don't know, guess they aren't very knowledgeable :)

TBH I don't see the need to setup a SIP trunk. Since you have the needed voice networking licenses available I would have setup H323 line between the SE solution and the standalone IP500
