We have a problem with a customer which is a bit weird. Unfortunatlty the details are sparse and I haven't experienced it first hand. It's on an MXe 3300 MCD 10.0.

The main number for the system is sent to a hunt group and re-routed to a ring group. There are 3 members in this group. The call cascades between them with a 10 second gap before overflowing to a back end AA. Two of the users have experienced this issue where 600x is calling them, when they pickup there is nothing there. This doesn't happen all the time. Why would a voicemail port be calling them?

I know this can happen if the caller in in the AA and presses the number for the operator.

I'm going to guess that this is an embedded VM?

If so, and the COS option above is correct, then check all the mailboxes for message notification -> Schedule. Change the field to Disabled. I suspect that some may be set to Around the Clock which is the Mitel default.

What makes you think that you have time to fix it?

Telecomp9434, this setting for the VM ports was enabled. I've disabled this and we'll see what happens. Thanks.

Paterson, I've also changed your setting on one users mailbox just in case.

This issue has been evident on almost every voicemail with Digital set emulation. I first observed it on an Older Centigram with SS4 sets used for integration. The sets sometimes perform functions that require softkeys. They go off hook and press virtual keys. If the Multiline On-Hook Dialing is enabled, then they sometimes dial digits accidently, typically zero.

Interestingly, the recommended default programming in the help files has the option set to "YES". Just goes to show, don't believe everything you read. (including this if you're so inclined)
