This is a Compaq Presario (a 5030) running Win 98 (1st ed)

After dialing up and browesing on the NET, I disconnect. If I receive a (voice) phone call (no call waiting) the PC freezes up (like an IRQ problem) and has to be turned off to proceed. Happens EVERY time

Also a lot of other (all communications related) erros and crashes using netscape 4.6 "access violation fault in module RASAP132.dll. or Netscape App file crashed module 32 bit problem Access violation, etc

Help? Thanks

Whats probably happening with the phone call issue is you probably have call waiting. and if you do when someone calls in it kinda messes up the signal and can even disconnect you. I would suggest that you find out how to disable your call waiting and make sure your modem dials that before making the connection to disable the call waiting. As far as netscape is concerned, unless there is a windows problem you should be able to just unin/reinstall netscape and that should take care of your problems. also, netscape 4.6 isnt the newest version so you should probably go and upgrade. you can do that at .
