Hi

I've just realized that my firm's CallPilot server uses the IMAP protocol and I was hoping to take advantage of this.

Presently we use My CallPilot (V2.50) which is a bit flakey. I'd like to be able to use Lotus Notes as the client for accessing mesages, but I have been told by our Lotus Notes Team that I cannot modify the mailfile in anyway, so the Notes version of CallPilot Desktop is out.

So I was wondering if there are any reasons why I can't just connect directly to each mailbox from Notes using the IMAP protocol. I've tested it with my mailbox and it does work, though the Notes file it produces is a bit basic.

Would rolling this out to other users cause problems?

Thanks in advance

Bill

I'm currently doing the same thing with both Outlook and Thunderbird, and having no trouble.

It may depend on how many Desktop Licenses you have, as I believe each connection via IMAP or Web client uses a Desktop License.
