Every once and awhile I can't seem to install UM properly on Outlook 2003. It will install fine, but doesn't load up with Outlook. I don't get a splash screen or any options. I have added it to the default mail profile but still no luck. I can create it manually by adding an IMAP server, but then I loose all the UM functionality. Any ideas?
I'm using Outlook 2003 SP3 and UM 4.04.04.37. Thanks!

does the Outlook totally hangs or it opens but no UM? i have encountered the Outlook hangs if the PC cannot see the BCM

Outlook loads and works fine. The problem is that UM doesnt load at all.

Make sure you are installing it while logged in as an Administrator.

With VISTA, you can right-click on the installer and select RUN AS... then use the administrator account..

--DB

I'm installing it on Windows XP. The account I'm using is an administrator account.

Which desktop patch are you referring to? A Windows patch?

The Bcm latest Desktop patch. That's the one that contains all the latest user applications. The SU patch is the one that modify the applications within the Bcm itself. That's the difference between the two.

I honestly didn't even know there was such a patch. I take it the patch can be downloaded from the Nortel site the same way a BCM patch would be?

The BCM has all the latest patches. I can't see it being a BCM patch issue for the program not loading.

I have bcmt400 with analog station module iam tried to transfer call from analog extinsion by using "flash*70" but when i press flash the call will be disconnected, is there any batch file for this case .

mohkh78,

You should start a new thread for that problem. And by the way, "flash" is a term used on ROLM systems. God I miss them.

I'll assume you mean Link. If that's the case, make sure you have "allow link" checked under the restiction tab for the set in question.
