Got a CallPilot Mini 1.6 that's been down a for a few days. Everytime we fix one thing, we notice something else broke, therefore this is turning into a long troubleshooting process.

I took the 2616 ports out of the unit and plugged them into a phone and the phone didn't work. I replaced the digital line card and now the 2616 works on the assigned ports. Also replaced the power supply to the CP Mini.

Now I can see the boot sequence when connected with a serial cable but get this on bootup.

Looks like the S/W is fried. I went to Avaya Support and it appears you can't download the S/W. You look online for the NTZE47DA software and most suppliers have it out of stock and if they do have it, it's between $2k and $3k.

Anybody have any suggestions? We may just replace it with a 201i.

I was under impression in reading you could download from PEP library these versions (upgrading can sometimes fix):
1.5
1.5A
1.5B
1.6A

I dont know if difference with 150 vs Mini on boot loader, I have .19 if you want to try to reload it in case yours is corrupted.

.21 was released then yanked when they started including with updated software.

-reload boot loader
-upgrade
-try another cabinet (to prove software ok or not)
-download 150 software and try on cabinet (to prove if cabinet issue or not)
-make sure the newer 8volt PS and not 9v
-Set IP back to default, unplug network cable and reboot.
-make sure software in snug and no upside down
-make sure software is in rear slot and not front

1.6a info

Also did you try to re-enable the ports before swapping cards?.

Outta ammo!

I plugged the S/W flash card into my laptop and my laptop wouldn't read the card. It was like it was never seated. It never did anything. I assume if my laptop doesn't see it, CallPilot doesn't see it. At least that was my theory.

I did download the latest upgrade to 1.6 and tried that anyway. No go. After about 30 seconds, the lights on the unit went out and never came back on.

Just for fun, I attempted to boot from the upgrade S/W and it did boot all the way to "Core Ready" but with a lot of errors. The ports showed "IDLE, LOGGED IN" but the unit would answer and immediately disconnect. I was hoping the upgrade would work as a stand alone S/W load.

-reload boot loader (haven't tried - can't access the S/W card)
-upgrade (tried but failed)
-try another cabinet (to prove software ok or not) (have not tried, I think the cabinet is good)
-download 150 software and try on cabinet (to prove if cabinet issue or not) (have not tried)
-make sure the newer 8volt PS and not 9v (original 8v power supply was zapped, replaced with new 8v)
-Set IP back to default, unplug network cable and reboot. (haven't tried)
-make sure software in snug and no upside down (confirmed)
-make sure software is in rear slot and not front (confirmed)

Yeah, we're giving up on it and ordering a 201i to replace it. Thanks for chiming in.
