When I logged in to the CallPilot Manager this evening, I was automatically prompted for a new password. It has been just over 30 days since we installed the CallPilot 150. I checked and found that the Class of Service for the SYSTEM_MANAGER (Administrator) mailbox was set to the factory default of 7 and the that Password Expiry for this COS was set to the factory default of 30 days. I changed this to zero so the password would never expire.

Am I on the right track for what caused the CallPilot Manager (web-access) password to expire?

you would have to believe if the login/password was the same as going in on set that yes it is the reason..cant find in docs

That's exactly what happenned. All the COS settings are preset with password expiry. They must be edited to eliminate the issue you had.

Thanks for your replies...

I couldn't find any references in the docs either. I tested the scenario by setting the password expiry to 1 day. Sure enough, one day later I was prompted for a new password.

The default COS 7 password expiry forces a CallPilot Manager password change in 30 days.

To prevent forced password changes, change the COS 7 password expiry to 0, for never expire.

Happy New Year!!!

Only other way to get what you saw is if you accidentally checked the "prompt for new password" when logging in.

I did what you described an it hasn't made me change it for more than 4 months now.

I know for sure the prompt for new password box was not checked. I thought of this when I saw the new password prompt and re-logged in to make sure the box wasn't checked.
