Hi guys,

We recently installed 2 new Callpilot Rls 5 servers (600r). 1 we migrated from Meridan Mail 13 and 1 we just added the mailboxes in as new. We have the same issue on both.

The callpilots took the 3 digit mailboxes ok. But now when you try to add a new mailbox it says the mailbox number length must be between 4 and 18 digits. Also we cant edit any exsisting mailboxes. We have tried the messaging management setting for mailbox number length to variable and 3 digits and this makes no difference.

We have pepped the server to SU04 and latest Callpilot Manager according to the ESPL.

We are raising a case with Nortel as we speak but i would rather sort this out more quickly than wait for Nortel.

in messaging management what do you have lenght of
mailbox number sat at?and what do you have checked
variable or fixed ?if you have 3 & 4 digit mailboxes
setup as variable.

no problems only solutions

Make sure that the default password prefix does not create an invalid password with your dial plan.

Normall it is 12. Have had cases where DNs such as 345 would not be created..

Hi guys,

Thanks for you replies. This has now happened to a 3rd server. Brand new out of the box. Set mailbox number length to variable and it wont let me add a 3 digit mailbox number.

Seriously think Nortel have an issue....

in the box nexted to fixed did you put in the number 3
and then check variable?
