NO
We are installing a CallPilot (201i) at a customer. The customer provides us with the follwing domain: hm-media.no
When we try to enter this in the ldap search base in CP, we get a message telling us that "-" is invalid for ldap search base, and that only alphanumeric characters are allowed. The customer will not change his domain, so if anyone knows a way to sort out this problem, we would preciate that.

They way I have around it is just to use the default. The "dc=nortel,dc=ca". When you install the Desktop messaging just place the same nortel.ca as the search base. I know it works as I have place this configuration in at least 2 CallPilots one Rls 1.07 and the other Rls 2.01

I agree with UNK. We have ours setup the same way using "dc=callpilot,dc=<your domain name>,dc=com

We use this in both the Call Pilot LDAP search base and when running the setup on the client workstation.

Hope This Helps,
