I have added a second 5.0 1005r CallPilot to a CS1000M. When one server is unplugged it should automatically swap over to the other server. This happens but the channels on the server it swaps to (CP1 to CP2 or vise versa) do not come up without the user logging in and disabling the channels and re-enabling them. After that it is fine. They both use the same MGATE cards with the DS30 cables, not the new ethernet ones. On Friday It had the latest SU and CP manager on it October 2008. I am going to be installing the latest SU and CP MGR and EMC software update this weekend. If this does not work does anyone have any suggestions?

is this a supported config? I question the redundancy because your 1005r is redundant.

Yes. Its called "High Availability" or HA CallPilot. Its only for the 1005r server and only 5.0. I have done a few of them, mostly for goverment installations.
