I have already disabled the caller ID on the phone when it's ringing; however, if the user has CallPilot Desktop Messaging, the caller ID is showing up in the message store in Outlook. Any ideas on how to stop this? Thanks

Hi,

Did you turn on CLBA on the set?

Marc D.

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

Just tried it (CLBA)....still showing the phone number in the Message Store.

LCD does not show number

Sprint disabled caller ID on the switch for that extension, so when you call voicemail, it doesn't tell you the number that called, but number still appears in the Desktop Messaging.

We're stumped

I think that Caller ID still shows up because Call Pilot (its ports) still see it.

do you want to stop it to all dt msg? if so modify vm ports. is this just one user, make him wear black glasses or better yet let him apply for work somewhere else. i hate it when you have to program around a user that needs to do his job. i may be wronge on this one but it happens to me all the time, acd groups are not answering, do a trace and 9 out of 10 agents are calling out on their personal line. do the print out and post it on the in house web site. wonder why the acd agents don't speak anymore? (like i want to talk to that crowd anyway.. (i love this job)

This is a whistle blower hotline we are creating to be within Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. We need to have the ability to save the messages in WAV format (which CallPilot can do), without a trace of who the caller is/was. It is only for one line.

You may be forced to have this call come on on a route that does not provide caller ID (for example, copper lines). Another alternative, even uglier, is to partition your voicemail. Break out 1 port into a separate queue and and modify that port, then point the whistle blower line to that CDN. You may have better results with option #1.

if you have a analog trunk card, use a ana ext as the input for a loop start co trunk. my call comes in goes to did 1000, which is a analog app of a did number, that goes to the analog card, that rdb is auto yes, the trunk target is the station that needed the call to begain with... all calls to 1000 go through the trunk card so the source is your switch. the orig party only called in your switch then back out, causing a new inbound call from ext 1000. i have used this in a cop shop before, it handles one call at a time but can be expanded bu making a cls=hta and hunt=1001..etc.. each time a new ext and a new trunk is used. i have 8 (on card set up for undercover cops on one of my site. They use it outbound, sorat dont want dope deals set up from the cop shop lines...those guys bet there life that it works everytime..
