I have a client that cannot gain access to their CallPilot due to a loss of an IP address that they had on the computer network in the office. (They were using the GUI interface to access the Callpilot for programming)
How can I gain access to the system.
I have tried going in using a laptop through the 192.168.110.10 but I think that was changed so as to work on their office network.
Do you have to use the serial cable to access the unit through an hyperterminal session? If yes what is the serial cable I need?
I have power cycled the unit and it does not even show up when "F 985" is used to determine the port that it is on.
Is this unit totally pooched perhaps?
Any suggestions.

Did they perhaps change their network subnet? Try plugging direct into the network port with a crossover cable. Otherwise you will have to connect a serial cable and reboot the CP to view/change the address.

This is the BCM forum so for BCM Callpilot you use the same IP as the BCM.

Do other 9XX codes work other than 985?

Forums for all other Callpilots in future:

Laptop and Hyper terminal is for Callpilot 100/150
9 pin serial cable

See this for changing or viewing IP:
