CallPilot App Builder -- testing holiday message?

How does one test a CallPilot App for functionality?

I have one that I inherited and want to test the holiday greeting to make sure it's working. Do I fake a holiday for today and see how it works? Seems that will put my phone system in holiday mode and we miss incoming calls. Can't do that.
