callpilot always hang

i have a callpilot 201i version 2.0 that always hang. the card needs to be unseat on its shelf, then put it back on. but each time i do that sometimes it won't power on, i have to unseat it again and wait for few minutes then put it back again to its shelf before it powers on.

is this a virus thing? how can i check? unfortunately i do not have anti-virus software installed on that system.
 
Could be virus - Is it connected to C-Lan? if so should have virus software running.

Also make sure it has the latest PEP assigned and switch has latest patches
 
I think eveery CallPilot has a license for using a special version of Norton AV and I think the latest version is 7.6. Can anyone correct me on this. Do you have that installed on your CP? If not, contact your vendor and you should get it for free.
 
There are alot alot of factor in why your callpilot hangs up.
1.Are your using desk top messageing?
2 Are you using fax capable & usage of the channels ?
3.Do you have the latest pep on your callpilot ?
4.Is the C-Lan on assign to a V-lan to stop broadcast traffic?

You must give more information in order to start working on problem.
