Is there a mechanism to download a large number of messages from the mailbox and save them as indivual files?
that mechanism would be a telephone recorder from radio shack that saves the messages in .wav file format, or use desktop messaging to get the messages.
or back them up to tape.
You know as long as people have been asking for this, you would have thought that someone from Nortel had to see all the questions about this since Meridian Mail... You think they would have provided that by now.
There are several ways to save CP messages as wave.
The easiest is play the message over the speakerphone and use Windows recorder to record the message.

Implement MyCallPilot and/or Desktop Messaging.
Desktop Messaging requires license, not 100% sure if MyCallPilot does or not. With MyCallPilot, your company has to provide a Windows server running IIS for the CPMGR/MyCallpiot installation.
