So in case anyone is wondering you can replace the HDD in a 201i with an SSD. I've used an older Kingston SV300 120GB with a Startech IDE2SAT and it's working perfectly. I'm thinking any SSD should work as long as the BIOS recognizes it. I did a straight clone of the drive using a Windows PC and a program called Partition-Saving (Ghost errored out because there were some bad sectors on the old drive).
I'm sure there's a few people with older hardware out there which replacement is cost prohibitive so hopefully this little tip helps someone in the future (also the CallPilot 5.0 ISOs are on archive.org).
