i have a 5.0 201i callpilot that went south on me and i'm trying to reimage it but when i go to the option screen and choose option 1 to load from SCSI pack, it allows me to choose the z: drive and allows me to enter the .bat command. the ghost screen shows but it does nothing. the read light on the cd pack does absolutely nothing. i know it reads because when i select the z: drive i listed the directory of the cd. i need help, please.

There are three images, and the 1st disk should be in the drive.
after selecting 1, and you see the CD driver load, and the system tells you the drive letter for the CD,
type z: <enter>
type reinstall <enter>
wait for Ghost to ask for disk two and then three.
When done, remove the disk and reboot.
Done..,

according to documentation, DocVic, it says to type image.bat. after i type in that, it goes to the ghost screen but there is no indication of files being transferred of any activity on the cdrom pack. i have changed RH30 cards and it does the same thing. am i being too impatinet?

I just did this yesterday and it went fine. Check to make sure the the disk is clean, but wait a little longer to see if it goes through.

I have always had good luck with the reimage.

Thank you both. I'll let you know how it goes.

John is right. Check the disk and maybe get a CD/DVD drive cleaner. If the environment is dusty, the drive my have dust on the lens. Start by blowing real hard in the drive.
