We have an option 11 c with callPilot 201 rel 1.7. Currently when we activate out night feature from our console (M2250), the auto attendant repeats the same greeting. Let me explain. When you call the main number the message say welcome to xyz company blob blob blob. If you do nothing, the calls suppose to transfer to an extension. What is happening, the auto attendant repeats the same greeting.

You can dial an extension from the auto attendant greeting. In addition, you can press # to dial by name.

How can I correct this problem?

Application builder. It is either no response or rotary prompt from the menu. Goes to the wrong place. I believe it would be the no response first then rotary.

The first time you enter a CP Menu and do nothing, the CP will assume you're using Rotary.

If you chose an option on 1 menu and nothing on subsequent menu, the CP will treat that as a No Respone.

Your application is probably setup to TRANSFER to attendant for No answer or Rotary dial, since the night setting on your console is probably setup to point to VM then it's just creating a loop.

You would have to modify the application as everyone suggested to change the attendant number or the Rotary treatement to point to whatever you need to(extension you need the call to go to).

The suggestion was done back in 2001. No one has changed the program since. The problem accrued after we lost power back in January. Our battery backups did not work. Does any think we have corrupt software? What are our options?

Call a Vendor.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Hope that a vendor will look at it, because Nortel won't touch it without you putting up some big bucks for NT support
