Folks, we have installed a CP 150 behind a large MICS (7.1). Is there anyway to disable the 90-day password change requirement without going through Call Manager?....our people are griping about having to change the PW so often.

Change the COS password expire to 0. You can get into it through f983 if you don't have a PC hooked up to it- Press MB, then 1 to change the COS.

Thanks Rik...I'll try it when I get back on Thursday...will let you know...

Rik, sorry that didn't work....after some extensive research, I found that you can only change the COS via phone in Flash, NAM and early s/w ICS versions (4.1 or lower). Otherwise I must use Call Manager....Am I going to have to purchase CM and NRU 11.0, or can I get them somewhere for free?

use a laptop and a cross over cable.
default IP on the CP is 192.168.110.10
set your nic card to use 192.168.110.11
and subnet to 255.255.255.0
then use IE browser
and enter 192.168.110.10 in the address bar with out the www.
password will be the F983 password , minus 102
if still default 1020000 etc. use 0000 when using the browser

once in the under mailbox amin you will see class of service

u can also connect the CP to their net work with a stright through cable and use any computer on the net work, just change that computer to use the above address.
the nic card is set to optain IP auto.

Other way around works best and only need to do once, change the IP of the Call Pilot to match the network.

The manager is no charge since it's i.e. browser, NRU is for the phone system and you would need NRU 11.0 and also a RAD (Remote Access Device)
